Well, the dream is over.....
and it's back to work after a well deserved I might add, vacation.
We didnt get our replacement teacher in time, so we face an arduous schedule of overtime hours for the month of March.
More money for the folks at student loans I guess.
We have been having some really wacky weather here in Korea over the past few weeks.
Up to almost 20 degress a couple of weeks back...then some really damp humid weather...and as of yesterday...the coldest temperatures to date...very brisk and sunny....
Won't complain too much as the fire-oven like heat of East Asian summer looms in the near distant future...ready to attack unmercilessly those who are in its inescapable path.
I want to showcase some of the photos I had been able to amass over the 5 day sejour....please enjoy....

Mike, Shawna Lee and I hitch a taxi to the base of Mt Seokram in Gyeongju...roughly an hour into the country side. Weather was quite chilly and foggy...almost surreal.thus necessitating a taxi ride in favor of a multi hour hike to this historic site...and a little lazy.
Ice like mist encompasses us as we pause for a snap on our way up to the religious deity awaiting us, resting comfortably in a grotto at the top the of the mountain.

Colorful lanterns guide us up the winding path to the top...not a sound to be heard.
Note the stylish earmuffs, leather, umbrella attire...was READY this time!! :-)
Apologies for the less than stellar pic...the signs clearly denoted NO PHOTOS..but I figured the resting Buddha in the sacred grotto would likely not be disturbed if I turned the flash off...nice cough diversion for by Mike for me to snap this shot and keep the ol lady guarding this sanctuary off guard.
Mike and Shawnee as we peer into this candle-lit shrine on the descent back to our graciously awaiting taxi driver.
The mysterious fog bids us farewell in the almost invisible surroundings.
Time to make our way to the terminal...hungry and a bit chilled...would like to re-visit this beautiful solace at a more pleasantly temperate time.
Doesnt it look delicious?? Chili beef stew at front, spicy pork in the center and pork cutlets to your right...with all the Korean fixin's...and 15 minutes to scarf it down before our ride departs back to Busan!!
Ahhh...back on the tour bus with mere minutes to spare...will enjoy this little dessert for the ride back into town.
That's enough for now...will post the conclusion of the vacay with a sea tour around Busan and the school kindergarten grad ceremony in the coming little while....
As always, take good care and thanks for following along.
